Lindenhurst Party Host Charged After 15 Year-Old Becomes Ill From Alcohol Consumption, Officials Report

North Lindenhurst, NY - Sept. 10, 2018 - Suffolk County Police on Saturday, September 8, charged a man for hosting a party where a 15-year-old male became ill from alcohol consumption in North Lindenhurst.
 
First Precinct Patrol officers responded to a 911 complaint of excessive noise and possible underage drinking at a residence in North Lindenhurst on September 8 at approximately 10:22 p.m. When officers arrived, several teenagers were seen running from the house. Officers found a highly intoxicated 15-year-old male inside the residence. The 15-year-old was transported by North Lindenhurst Rescue ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment.
 
Police charged Rocky Salsitta with violating the Social Host Law. Salsitta, 22, of North Lindenhurst was issued a Field Appearance Ticket and released. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 19, 2018. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
