Long Island's First Challenger Baseball Jamboree - October 1, 2011

Written by Anthony C.  |  10. September 2011

The Little League Challenger Division was founded in 1989 to give boys and girls facing physical and mental challenges an opportunity to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation. Playing with baseball equipment on Little League fields, Challenger Division participants learn not only the fundamentals of baseball, but also how it feels to pull together as a team, being cheered by family and friends. The first Long Island Challenger Baseball Jamboree will be hosted at the Town of Babylon Tanner Park Complex on October 1, 2011 {rain date, Oct. 2} and will be a full day of fun for all in attendance. We seek to bring awareness to all of Long Island's Challenger Baseball programs. Working together we will create a memorable day for each of our athletes and encourage future participation and growth within our respective Challenger Baseball Programs!
