Written by Hank Russell  |  07. September 2011

Carle Place, NY - LL Dent Restaurant, along with Webb Internet Radio's (WIR) Ken "Spider" Webb, present "Jobs, Personal and Small Business Management" as part of WIR's networking series. The event will take place September 20 at 7 p.m. at LL Dent, located at 221 Old Country Road in Carle Place. Lillian and Leisa Dent, Co-Owners, LL Dent, will be joined by Mr. Webb, Roland Medley of Pre-Owned Lexus of Rockville Centre and other business professionals as they present information on searching for a job and managing personal and small business finances. This will be an informative and intensive discussion that will prepare job seekers for their search. Since the late 1960s, Mr. Webb has been one of New York's most popular morning radio personalities. In July 1971, he became the very first "morning man" for Manhattan's WBLS-FM Radio. By 1983, WBLS had the No.1 position in the morning ratings. He later moved to WRKS-FM, where he gave the station its first No. 1 position in the morning ratings until 1995, when he returned to WBLS. In addition, he has worked at WLIB-AM, WWRL-AM and the former WQCD-FM (CD101.9). Mr. Webb has also been involved in the community. He founded the KISS Kards and the WBLS Sure Shots benefit basketball teams to help raise money for local communities in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan areas and the Baltimore area, where he was raised. He has also used his shows to raise funds for numerous community organizations, ranging from community causes to needy families. "We are very glad to have Mr. Webb and his friends come to the restaurant for this special night," said Lillian Dent. "Those who attend this event will get to meet the biggest names in radio and enjoy the best Southern-style food here on Long Island." All are invited to network with the guest speakers as these business professionals share vital tips and suggestions on how to find that job and how to set up an effective personal, household or small business financial plan. At the same time, they can enjoy a delicious dinner from LL Dent's menu. Admission is free; attendees only pay for what they order from the menu. All are invited, but seating is limited.
