Did you know that this Sunday is Grandparents’ Day? Now that Mother’s Day and Father’s Day have past, it is time to celebrate and honor our grandparents.

Developed in the 1970s, Grandparents’ Day has been growing in popularity in the past few years with more and more people are learning and recognizing the holiday. Who would not want to honor their grandparents’?

So, what can you do for your grandparents on Sunday? Check out this list the ideas to celebrate and honor the patriarchs of your family.
  • Take them to a museum. What better way of spending time together than learning about history or art. You might learn about the past from your grandparents. Grandparents have a lot of wisdom and stories from our country’s past.

  • If you are a little older, why not enjoy the day at a winery?
  • Take them out to eat at one of Long Island’s many delicious restaurants
  • 18th Annual East Northport Festival - Taking place the 6th to the 8th, bring your family and grandparents down to the festival and take part in beating the Hokey Pokey record.
