Midnight Mall Mystery: Fifth Squad's Arrest of Trio in Stolen SUV Frenzy Shakes Valley Stream
The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of three individuals on Friday, September 1,
2023 at 10:25pm in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, at approximately 9:55pm Officers responded to the parking garage of Macys located at 2034 Green Acres Mall for a suspicious vehicle described as a black, Kia, SUV with a NY registration that was reported stolen from New York City. Officers located the vehicle and began to follow it.
The suspect vehicle was located in the rear of 500 West Sunrise Highway, as Officers attempted to conduct an investigation the three male suspects abandoned the auto and fled on foot. After a brief search, two suspects were located and placed into custody. One
Officer sustained a shoulder injury during the incident. A third suspect was located on Green Acres Road West and was placed into custody.
Defendants Tavari Larosiliere, 18, of 132-47 Bennett Court, Springfield Gardens and Miles Harris, 18, of 12040 229 th Street, Cambria Heights are each charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest.
They will be arraigned on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
A male juvenile Defendant, 15, is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, Assault 2nd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Thursday, September 28. 2028 in Nassau County Family Court.
