September is one of Long Island's most exciting months on account of the blend of summer and fall festivities. As Long Islanders bid a sweet farewell to summer, an events calendar overflowing with fall activities is already waiting to commence before autumn arrives on September 22nd. This month's fun begins with Labor Day Weekend, which provides three full days of entertainment for all ages. From there, every weekend is filled with Fall Festivals and Fairs, bringing families together for rides, sugary treats, and live shows. Plus, with local Farmers Markets scheduled throughout the month, acquiring the freshest fruits and vegetables is as easy as heading down to the closest weekly market.
