A heat advisory is in effect today for certain parts of Long Island where  the temperature feels as if it’s between 95℉ and 100℉. The heat advisory is until 8 p.m. today, August 12th, throughout both Nassau and Suffolk County. Due to the insanely hot  and humid weather conditions, thunderstorms later in the day are very possible.

Later  this evening, we’re expecting partly cloudy skies as well as warm and humid conditions. However, this humid weather doesn’t stop after tonight. Instead, it is expected that scattered showers will also take place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. The good news is that the weekend seems to be clear, sunny, and much less humid.
