Local residents will have the opportunity to experience the food and culture of Malaysia in a single night on Saturday August 21, when Malaysian singer and entertainer Kathy Ibrahim puts on a benefit dinner show at the The Theatre Club on Roosevelt Island, starting at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Ibrahim, one of Asia's most popular performers, will take guests on a tour of the cultural diversity of Malaysia, whose heritage includes Malay, Chinese, Indian and European influences. A mesmerizing song stylist who is a legend in Asia, Ms. Ibrahim will be joined by the colorful Malaysia Tourism Dance Troupe.
