Commemorate and honor the many lives lost on September 11th, 2001 at a 9/11 memorial event on Long Island, NY.
Fifteen years have come and gone since the infamous attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, near Washington, D.C. The memory of that tragic day though, is one that is forever alive in the hearts and minds of Americans across the country, and across the globe. A lot has changed since that fateful day in 2001, but some things that remain the same are our collective grief about the events that unfolded that day, and our collective pride and deep appreciation of the bravery of our firemen, police officers and other emergency service workers who came to aid those in need, putting their own lives at risk. The unity of our country that followed after the 9/11 attacks, is another thing not to be forgotten.
Now, fifteen years later, we all come together to commemorate and honor those we lost and the brave men and women still alive today who answered the call and put their lives on the line.
