KIDSTREET: GIRL AUTHORITY Bay Street Theatre's KIDSTREET series continues on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 3pm, with a special performance by the newest "tween" singing sensation, GIRL AUTHORITY, bringing their critically acclaimed music to kids and parents alike! Recommended for ages 8-12. Buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life as nine bubbly girls sing their way across the USA and straight into your heart! From classic hits like "The Loco-Motion" and "Car Wash (Girl Authority Mix)", to chart-toppers of today like "Life is a Highway" and "This One's for the Girls"...from songs parents remember fondly like "Holiday" and "Walking on Sunshine" to brand new originals like the exuberantly poppy "Let's Get Together" and the dance-fueled "Rhythm of the World". The girls are nine friends who have been performing together in the musical theatre arena for years. Blessed with strong voices and engaging personalities, the girls' love of music, fun, and friendship shines through and will engage and entertain. The 2008 KidStreet Series at Bay Street Theatre is sponsored by Suffolk County National Bank, Brown Harris Stevens Real Estate and Suffolk County under the auspices of the Office of Cultural Affairs, Steve Levy, County Executive. Upcoming KidStreet events include a screening of FREAKY FRIDAY with a book-signing by Mary Rodgers on August 21st at 3pm, followed by Gustafer Yellowgold on August 28th at 3pm. Bay Street Theatre Bay St & Main St Sag Harbor, NY 11963 631-725-9500 Directions: Bay Street Theater is located on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor From New York City and Nassau County Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 70 (Manorville). Go south on County Road 111 to 27 East (towards Montauk). Continue for approximately 24 miles to the T-Junction/traffic light in Southampton. Turn left onto Montauk Highway, following signs to East Hampton. Go through Water Mill and enter Bridgehampton. At the end of Bridgehampton's Main Street, turn left at the war memorial/4-way traffic light onto the Sag Harbor Turnpike/CR 79. Continue straight, approximately 4 miles, into the town of Sag Harbor (Turnpike becomes Main Street). Bay Street Theatre is at the foot of Main Street (and the corner of Bay Street) on the Long Wharf, opposite the windmill. From the North Shore Take the North Ferry from Greenport to Shelter Island. Travel along Route 114 following signs for the South Ferry. Take the South Ferry to North Haven and continue on Ferry Road to the rotary. Turn left around the rotary and continue straight over the bridge to Sag Harbor.
