Where to Watch Summer Outdoor Movies Under the Stars

Written by Lyndsay McCabe  |  01. August 2015

One of the great pleasures of the summer is getting to enjoy an outdoor movie screening at a local park or beach.  Many towns and local companies offer free summer movie night series, all of which are dependent on having dry weather.  Take advantage of these nights to spend quality time with the family - for free!  The drive-in movies at Cooper Beach is the only event with a fee, but it is still a value if you load up your with family and friends.  Movies shown this summer range from classics, like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, to the fan-favorite Frozen, to the updated version of the musical Annie featuring Jamie Foxx.  Be sure to bring a blanket, towel, or lawn chair, and also pack a light dinner or something to snack on while you watch your movie under the stars.  Check the weather and call ahead if you have any questions if the movie night is still scheduled, then relax and kick back at one of these outdoor movie series!
