The music concerts continue on Long Island as we enter the first full week of August. Also, enjoy a cooking demonstration where you can learn how to make a Greek orzo dish, a musical comedy at Bay Street Theatre and carnivals and fairs. Check out the details below!

MONDAY – AUGUST 5, 2013

Who: Summer Is Bursting With Flavor At West Babylon Library
Info: Enjoy a cooking demonstration with Simply Creative Chef Rob Scott. Chef Scott will prepare Greek orzo and grilled shrimp with mustard-dill vinaigrette, crab and scallion stuffed artichoke hearts and watermelon fire and ice salsa. Attendees also get to enjoy a tasting of the meal. Registration required.

Who: The Chiclettes At Mary Jane Davies Park
Info: As part of the Monday Nights Summer Concert Series, come out to enjoy this girl band as it sings music from the 50’s to today. Bring your own chair and snacks.

TUESDAY – AUGUST 6, 2013

Who: Wiz Khalifa At Nikon At Jones Beach Theater
Info: Pittsburgh-based rap artist is known for his hits like ‘Black and Yellow’ and ‘No Sleep.’ He’s also guest starred on Maroon 5’s hit, ‘Payphone.’

Who: A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum At Bay Street Theatre
Info: This timeless musical comedy tells the story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The play continues through September 1.

Who:  My Way Sinatra Tribute At Eisenhower Park
Info: As part of the Nassau County Parks summer entertainment schedule, enjoy this noontime concert. The concert is a tribute to Frank Sinatra.

Who: Centereach Fire Department 80th Anniversary Carnival
Info: This carnival continues to run through August 11.  The carnival features a parade on August 10th, casino nights and live music.

THURSDAY – AUGUST 8, 2013

Who: Bethpage Chamber Of Commerce Summer Fair
Info:  Enjoy live music, crafts, food, games and more. The fair continues to run through August 10 and there’s a fireworks show on August 9.

Who: Linda Ipanema & Dixie Cats Concert At Riverside Boulevard Beach
