Take your Talent to Center Stage at an Acting Class

Written by Debbi Spiegel  |  24. July 2013

Have you ever been bitten by the acting bug?  Do you confuse all sources of light with limelight?  Fortunately, here on Long Island, we are lucky to have a number of theatres and programs that host acting classes for adults and children.  Acting classes will teach you the fundamentals of the art and craft of acting.  Learn quick and powerful ways to make your performance more natural and spontaneous. Class lessons includes vocal development, character analysis, action verb acting and theatre vocabulary along with improvisation, and monologue work. Each actor progresses at his or her own pace, while benefiting from the group work and ensemble experience.Active Listening and Imaginative Verb Expression bring performances ALIVE!

Theatre classes are a fun way for kids to build confidence. Experience in the performing arts improves verbal skills, a valuable skill when kids present oral reports in school. When it's time for college entrance and job interviews later on in life, kids with performing arts experience have an edge.

The final class is a performance to enjoy what the students have been learning.
