Stolen Bald Eagle - $15k Reward for his Return!

Written by erin__l  |  23. July 2019

Sam, the elderly bald eagle, has been stolen from his enclosure at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. Long Island officials are offering a reward of $15k to anyone who brings Sam home safely. Everyone is really worried for Sam, including Nassau and Suffolk SPCA officials who have been posting all over social media platforms in hopes of finding information on where Sam is located and asking the community to bring him back home.

With the news all over social media, there has been an enormous amount of support. However, Sam is still nowhere to be found. Everyone is especially worried for Sam because he has a partially amputated wing and needs proper care in order for him to survive. Sam, the bald eagle, is a federally protected bird who deserves the best care possible to fully recover. If you have any information on Sam’s whereabouts, please do not hesitate to contact the Nassau or Suffolk SPCA.
