The security at Jones Beach Theater just got more tight with new additions to ensure the safety of all concertgoers and attendees. As a way to upgrade the security at the Jones Beach Theater, concrete balls were installed by state officials. In addition, Delta barriers were installed to prevent cars from driving through. The Jones Beach Theater will now also have a security screening area including metal detectors to check the belongings of attendees, similar to what the bigger venues such as Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center have.

The total cost of the project is around $290,000 which is funded by both LIVE nation and New York State Parks. The goal of implementing new security measures is to prevent any incidents from occurring in the future, protecting the safety of everyone at the theater.
