Have you ever been in love?

Written by lisingles  |  11. July 2000

Have you ever found that someone so special you were willing to sacrifice almost anything possible to make sure that the person you loved - loved you the same in return? What if that person was your best-friend? Would you be willing to sacrifice your friendship rather than live your life not knowing what could possibly could have happened to you had you never said a word? Or what if you said something to that person and on the surface they appeared to have similar feelings but you know that they weren't being honest with themselves or you? I found myself in that posistion 3 years ago and I acted and said something - and what ensued afterwards is too awkward, hurtful, and traumatic to re-live on this site; but needless to say I never regretted a day that went by after that point cause I've found alot of people never actually truely open up and claim their feelings for people. And I think that never being honest with yourself is a crime - especially when it comes to affairs of the heart. Just think about it. What if you felt so strongly about someone and then decide that you couldn't say anything because you would feel too awkward afterwards, and meanwhile the whole time they felt the same way? I guess my point is that you should never be afraid to admit when your heart is vulnerable - cause in the end if you never admit the love you feel you will miss out on more to life then you could ever realize. Tust me - I know. Tell me what you think about this. E-mail me; Singles@longisland.com - or post a response on the Message Board!
