Chipotle Expanding On Long Island

Written by Long Island  |  20. June 2011

No fiesta is complete without a Chipotle burrito. Chipotle, one of the newest chains in “fast” food, is better than you are probably thinking. In fact, Chipotle is considered a “fast casual restaurant,” which means that they offer higher quality food than fast food chains do, but do not offer table service to customers. Its tagline, “food with integrity,” holds true. Their ingredients are mostly all from local farms, without the use of added hormones or antibiotics to treat the animals that their meat is coming from. Their website gladly outlines where their food is coming from for you, just in case you can’t believe its goodness. Chipotle also uses organic and local produce, as often as they can, in order to serve us the best quality food. And the best tasting burritos, too. Their short menu is actually filled with endless options. The ability to choose whatever ingredients you may want in your burrito, burrito bowl, taco or salad gives you the chance to design your perfect Mexican meal. Your meal can consist of chicken, steak, barbacoa or carnitas as your choice of meat. You also have the choice of no meat, if you choose a vegetarian burrito. Fajita vegetables, beans, cilantro-lime rice, various flavored salsas, cheese, guacamole, sour cream and romaine lettuce all are toppings offered. To see ingredient facts and descriptions, go online to www.chipotle.com. Their frying oil has zero trans fat. Not convinced yet? I think you are. Chipotle’s food, although prepared fast and on the spot for you, is guaranteed to be fresh and full of amazing taste. Unlike other food chains, Chipotle’s dining experience is designed to be fun, interesting and comfortable. While ordering, the food is laid out in front of you, making it possible to watch exactly how your food is being prepared. After you pick up your meal from the assembly line styled counter, you can sit anywhere within the restaurant, or take your food on the go. Your choice, your food, no problem. So what will it be? A burrito, some tacos, or a salad? Locations on Long Island include Deer Park, Huntington Station, Farmingdale, Hicksville, Uniondale, Carle Place, Great Neck and coming soon to Mineola.
