The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Mineola man for an incident that occurred on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 5:02 pm in Mineola.
 
According to Detectives, a church service was being held at the Corpus Christi Church located at 155 Garfield Avenue. The defendant Aldo Hernandez, 26, of 88 Colonial Avenue entered the church where he became irate and began causing a disturbance. The defendant then  approached the alter and proceeded to push over and break two religious statues causing
approximately $10,000 USC worth of damage. Defendant Aldo Hernandez was placed under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
 
Defendant Aldo Hernandez is charged with Criminal Mischief 2 nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 16, 2025 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
