In-Home Vaccines Available to Town of Hempstead Seniors

Written by Long Island  |  05. June 2021

Seniors and homebound residents in the Town of Hempstead can now have COVID-19 vaccines administered at their homes by town Emergency Medical Services (EMS) squads.

If you or someone you know needs a vaccine, call the Town of Hempstead’s hotline at (516) 812-3678 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to be placed on a list. The person will receive a call from the town EMS squad who will visit the resident’s home.

This service is in addition to Hempstead Town’s “Vaxmobile” mobile vaccination unit, a partnership with Mount Sinai South Nassau which brings vaccinations to locations in the Town, including faith-based organizations, libraries, recreation centers, senior centers, parks, and train stations. To schedule a Vaxmobile appointment, eligible residents may fill out and submit an online form.

Visit the Town of Hempstead's website for more information on the Town's COVID-19 resources.
