Blues on the Bay for Lupus

Grab the kids, bring your friends, and enjoy the day by the bay! The Lupus Alliance of America LIQ Affiliate is holding their Blues on the Bay for Lupus event on Sunday, July 31st, 2011 at the Long Island Maritime Museum in Sayville. From 12 noon - 8pm, you can enjoy live music from 8 great local bands, including: Seven Turns, The Red, White and Blues Band, BigDaddy & The Bulldogs, The Roadhouse Band, Sweet Suzi & Sugafixx, Bo & Joe Blues on the Blues Box Mission Band, The Stony Rollers, and The Southside Players. While enjoying the music and visiting the various vendors at the event you can enjoy fried macaroni, hot dogs, pretzel dogs, cajun fries, sausage and peppers, lobster rolls, shrimp skewers, smoothies, Italian ices, burgers, knish`s, cuban panini's, pretzel braids, frozen lemonade and more. Advance ticket prices are: $20 per person, $10 for kids under 15 years old, and a Family Pack for $50 which includes 2 adults, and up to 4 kids under 15 yrs. old. Advance tickets are on sale now by calling the Lupus Alliance office at 1-800-850-9000, or through their website at www.lupusliqueens.org/bluesonthebay2. The Lupus Alliance is still accepting vendors of all kinds including, crafts, arts, jewelry, antiques, children's toys, books, clothing, ornaments and more. If you are a vendor and would like to participate in this event, please contact the Lupus Alliance at 516-783-3370, or visit their website at www.lupusliqueens.org/bluesonthebay2 and download the vendor application. Vending Spaces, are 10X10, and include a table and 2 chairs and are $100.00 for the day. All proceeds from this event will go to the Lupus Alliance of America LIQ Affiliate`s programs which include support groups, financial assistance, kids programs and educational events, as well as to novel research into the cause and cure for lupus. The Lupus Alliance of LIQ is Long Island`s only local resource for those living with lupus, and has been providing services to your friends, family and neighbors in need since 1955.
