COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM EDT FRIDAY The National Weather Service in New York NY has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Friday. * LOCATIONS...Vulnerable coastal locales along the western portions of the Long Island Sound. * TIDAL DEPARTURE...Around 1 to 1 1/2 ft above astronomical tides tonight. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...There is a low threat of property damage. Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect around 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * TIMING...Around high tide tonight.

Farmingville, NY - May 18, 2018 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who damaged a door in Farmingville in May.
 
A man attempted to steal a tip jar at La Placita Express, located at 711 Horseblock Road on May 9 at approximately 2:55 p.m. After failing to steal the jar, the man attempted to exit the front door, but damaged the glass door.
