Hot Spots: Weekend Watch for May 10 through May 12

It’s Mother’s Day weekend and you can bet there are hot spots to help celebrate the occasion and other great entertainment on Long Island! On Friday, check out Koenig’s Restaurant for its Mother’s Day Big Band Dinner Dance and O’Reilly’s Restaurant & Pub for a Mother’s Day party featuring The In Crowd. The Legendary Murphys, an acoustic band also performs at Babylon Carriage House on Friday. On Saturday, enjoy a ballet performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Slingping’s 1st Annual Long Island Hot Dog Eating Contest and the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater at NYCB Theatre at Westbury. On Sunday, start the day off with Mother’s Day brunch at Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center. Also enjoy a sensational show of two performances, The Great American Songbook and Broadway Bound, at Dix Hills Performing Arts Center and the Baldwin Spring Festival. Check out the details below!

Who: The Legendary Murphys Acoustic Band At Babylon Carriage House

Who: A Midsummer Night’s Dream At Ballet Long Island

Who: Slingping’s 1st Annual Long Island Hot Dog Eating Contest At Rudi’s In Patchogue
Info: This event is for the entire family to enjoy. There’ll be a hot dog eating contest, a bounce house for kids, a DJ, cars from Stevens 112 Ford, a Chinese auction, prizes and giveaways.
