Written by Hannah M.  |  01. May 2012

Creative art scenes aren’t limited to Manhattan and Brooklyn anymore. Long Island’s art scene is booming! Many of Long Island’s towns are starting up their own performing arts centers for theater lovers and art appreciators alike. From major off-Broadway productions to one-man shows to children’s theater, you’ll find them all in Long Island’s theaters for half the price and half the travel time than if you were heading to The Great White Way itself – Broadway that is.  Some theaters even hold live music events, such as the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts which regularly holds concert events in its lobby. Enjoy all that Long Island’s downtown has to offer with unique eateries and bars before or after the show. You simply can’t go wrong.
