BounceU of Farmingdale is encouraging families to get fit and stay fit this May as part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.
BounceU of Farmingdale, located at 101 Carolyn Blvd, joins the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports to challenge Americans to get moving for health and to get active and fit during the month of May.
"Our inflatables are the perfect thing to get kids off the couch, away from the computer, and get them moving," said Frank DiScala, owner of the BounceU of Farmingdale.
Popular for offering full-service private children's parties in an auditorium filled with giant inflatable structures, BounceU of Farmingdale also holds Open Bounce and Family Bounce Nights throughout the week. BounceU also offers Create and Bounce, an art camp for children that combines art projects, playtime and structured physical activities on the facility's wide variety of indoor inflatables, as well as games and guest performers.

"Americans of all ages need to incorporate more movement into their daily lives. Children need at least 60 minutes of daily active play. They need to run, climb, jump, and just get up and move around, away from their desks, the television and computer games," said Melissa Johnson, executive director of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, which started National Physical Activity and Sports Month in 1983.
