Elmont Man's Bus Robbery Spree: Arrested After Assault and Theft in East Garden City

The Third Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man for a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. in East Garden City.
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded to 630 Old Country Road for a Robbery that occurred while the victim was traveling on a NICE bus. The defendant, Nehemiah Taylor, 30, of 1519 Hempstead Turnpike, assaulted a victim by striking him with a blunt object and stole his cell phone. The defendant then exited the bus and fled on foot northbound, toward the Roosevelt Field mall. Officers canvassed the area, located the defendant and arrested him without incident. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of his injuries. 
 
Defendant Taylor is charged with Robbery 1 st degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4 th degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
