Spring is finally upon us, and for many Long Islanders it could not have come quickly enough! Winter has brought one snowstorm after another, causing all sorts of havoc for commuters and drivers, as a consistent chill lingered for the better part of the season, but today we should see a bright sun and temperatures near 50°, with even warmer weather predicted for tomorrow. Unfortunately it looks like winter will be sending us one last blast of cold air next week, so get out there and enjoy your first taste of spring while you can. Have a glass of local wine, enjoy a nice lunch outside, take the kids to see some cool animals, head to the Spring Craft Beer Festival, or do whatever you enjoy most to celebrate the first weekend of spring!

World Water Day 2014
Head to the Garvies Point Museum & Preserve this Saturday at 11 AM to celebrate World Water Day! Witness the power of moving water by observing the stream table demonstration then enjoy a short hike. Film will be shown at Noon & 2 PM. $3 admission for adults, $2 for children ages 5-12.
Marvelous Marine Mammals for Preschoolers
For children ages 3-5 to learn about marine mammals at the Sport Fishing Education Center this Sunday. Come on down between 10 AM & 12 Noon with your child to enjoy this learning experience while making a craft! Admission is $25 per child (includes one adult, $5 each additional adult) Please register.
Long Island Reptile Expo
Don't miss out on the Long Island Reptile Expo held this Sunday, March 23rd at the Hilton Long Island in Huntington. Check out thousands of live pet reptiles on display and for sale as pets!
