April showers bring May flowers! We have officially welcomed Spring and although lots of rain may be coming our way at least it’s not snow! The winter weather is winding down and locals can finally get a break from all the Winter snow and look forward to the warm Spring weather. As those warmer days is approaching and sunny skies begin to brighten up our days, what would be a better way to enjoy it than with all the seasonal fun?!

Before having some fun, many locals prefer to begin the season with some Spring cleaning by getting rid of all the junk and clutter in their homes. But once everything is all neat, clean and organized, it’s time to enjoy the spirit of Spring!

Students will be enjoying their time off from school for Spring Break and look forward to playing outside or going away on vacation. Festivals and fairs will begin to liven up Main Streets in towns across the Island with some fun for everyone.

That’s not all! The first major holiday season is kicking into full gear with Easter and Passover. Although both holidays fall later than usual this year, that only means more time for more fun! The Spring Bunny will visit children across Long Island while children try to find as many eggs as they can in one of the many egg hunts! You can even create your own colorful eggs!

We also can’t forget about Earth Day where locals will even be showing their appreciation for Mother Nature on April 22nd. Take advantage of the fresh veggies and fruits that will be available for purchase at local Farmers Markets which will be running through the whole month.

Whether you’re looking to lay back this Spring season or you’re ready to get out and soak in some rays, we’ve got you covered with all the highlights for the month here with LongIsland.com’s 2014 April Entertainment Guide filled with the most fun festivities the whole family can enjoy!
