MANISCHEWITZ® And rock CAN roll Inc. ®
Are Teaming Up To Beat Hunger!

The Company Joins rock CAN roll Inc. In Honor Of 6th Annual Cook-Off Contest

Newark, NJ (March, 2012)—The Manischewitz Company®, the leader in kosher foods, continues its tradition of giving by partnering with rock CAN roll Inc. ®. In honor of the 6th Annual Man-O-Manischewitz Cook-Off, Manischewitz is teaming up with rock CAN roll to “beat hunger" and poverty through food donations.

In addition to a generous donation, Manischewitz has created food collection bins that are being placed in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Florida, California, Tennessee, Texas, Massachusetts and many more places.  For a complete list of locations and addresses where consumers can find these rock CAN roll bins in their area, please visit www.manischewitz.com.

“We at Manischewitz really love all the great things rock CAN roll has been doing and we are so happy to be partnering with them in this worthy mission” said David Rossi, Vice President of Marketing of The Manischewitz Company.

rock CAN roll began in 1998 after the founder, Aimée Holtzman, read about the devastation in Honduras following Hurricane Mitch. She collected a few boxes of items from her local community and sent them to a friend in Honduras for distribution. rock CAN roll was officially founded, in 2005 and the  charity has grown dramatically, but its mission to help those in need and the hands on involvement of Aimée remain unchanged. Now rock CAN roll collaborates with schools, concerts, corporations, and of course, residents of the local communities that have had collection bins, to help those who live in poverty.

rock CAN roll has come a long way and continues to grow with the support of local communities and companies such as Manischewitz.” said  founder Aimée Holtzman, “ We truly appreciate all they have done and look forward to a long relationship with both Manischewitz and their loyal customers. With friends like this we CAN beat hunger!”
