Written by Hank Russell  |  18. March 2011

Troy G. Rosasco of the law firm Turley, Redmond, Rosasco & Rosasco, LLP and Daniel J. Hansen of the Law Offices of Daniel J. Hansen will host a Webinar titled "9/11 Zadroga Act Claims: What You Need to Know About the Victims Compensation Fund" on March 26 from noon to 2 p.m. During this Webinar, Mr. Rosasco and Mr. Hansen will discuss the newly passed Zadroga Act. Topics include: — Who is eligible? — What illnesses are covered? — How do you file a claim? — What is needed to prove your "damages" and "pain and suffering"? — Who is the "Special Master?" — How much money can you expect to receive? — Can you file if you already collected money from the old VCF and other lawsuits? — How long will the claims process take? The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010, or the Zadroga Act, is named after James Zadroga, a New York City police detective who died in 2006 from respiratory disease as the result of inhaling toxins while working at Ground Zero. The law calls for $2.8 billion in funding for the VCF, which is expected to be reopened this summer. System requirements for PC-based attendees include having a Windows 7, Vista, XP or 2003 server. For Macintosh-based attendees, Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) or newer is required. "I urge anyone who was at Ground Zero and their loved ones to join us for this lively, interactive online seminar to get the answers you need to protect yourself and get the financial compensation you deserve," Mr. Rosasco said.
