The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 8:44 PM in Garden City Park.
According to Detectives, a 56-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Jericho Turnpike northbound in the vicinity of Nassau Boulevard when he was struck by a 2020 Grey Honda SUV traveling westbound on Jericho Turnpike being operated by a 59-year-old male. The male victim suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced by a hospital physician. No other injuries were reported.
The driver remained at scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
