The week of President’s Day on Long Island is filled with entertainment, including hockey games, wildlife fun, ballroom dancing and much more! On Monday, enjoy a game of the New York Islanders vs. Philadelphia Flyers at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. During the evening, the Great Bridal Extravaganza Bridal Show takes place at the Holiday Inn of Plainview. On Tuesday, learn about Native American games at Garvies Point Museum and Preserve. For the evening, head out to Ivarone Café for live jazz, open mic and a special menu. On Wednesday, Quogue Wildlife Refuge has its winter wildlife camp. During the evening, there’s ballroom dancing taking place at Sons of Italy Hall. On Thursday, enjoy a fun-filled night of dancing and networking at Ballroom on the Bay for Huntington Chambers’ Business After Hours event. Thursday evening is also the night The Who performs at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Check out the details below!

Who: New York Islanders vs. Philadelphia Flyers At Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Info: Get ready for NHL hockey! The Islanders are hosting a game with the Flyers.

Who: Great Bridal Extravaganza Bridal Show At The Holiday Inn
Info: If you have a wedding to plan or just have a love for all that’s involved in weddings, make sure to stop by this bridal showcase. Local bridal professionals will be here and there will also be delicious food from award-winning cake designers and caterers for tasting.

TUESDAY – FEBRUARY 19, 2013

Who: Native American Games At Garvies Point Museum And Preserve
Info: Come out to learn and play authentic Native Americans games of chance and skill. There are games featured from different regions from this program that runs through Feb. 20.
Cost: $3 For Adults, $2 For Children Age 5 to 12 Years

Who: Fat Tuesdays At Ivarone Cafe
Info: Every Tuesday at Ivarone Café there is live jazz, open mic and a special menu. Its guest singers and musicians include Lou Messana for guitar and Al Cardillo for bass. Reserve your table ahead of time.

Who: Winter Wildlife Camp At Quogue Wildlife Refuge
Info: Enjoy great wildlife experience at the Refuge! It’s a great adventure to enjoy with a child, ages 5 to 11. There’s hiking and crafts involved, handling of animals at the Nature Center and more.
Cost: $30 Per Day

Who: Ballroom Dancin’ At Brumidi Hall
Info: DJ Ray will be spinning a variety of music for four hours of fine dancing and entertainment on an extra-large dance floor. Enjoy it all with a buffet dinner, coffee and dessert. Drinks and cocktails are also available at the bar.
Cost: $14 Admission (includes buffet dinner, coffee and dessert)

THURSDAY – FEBRUARY 21, 2013

Who: Business After Hours At Ballroom On The Bay
Info: It’s going to be a fun-filled night for dancing and networking. Refreshments, dance demonstration and dance instruction is included. The event is put together by the Huntington Chamber.
Cost: Free For Huntington Chamber Members, $20 For Non-Members
Time & Place: 6PM to 8PM at Ballroom On The Bay, 17 Southdown Road, Huntington

Who: The Who At Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Info: The Who is one of rock’s most legendary and influential groups. It returns to perform the iconic 1973 double album, including classics like ‘My Generation,’ ‘Pinball Wizard’ and ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again.’ 
Cost: $34.50 and up
