(Manorville, NY) - In celebration of its 42nd anniversary, Long Island Game Farm is offering a free carousel ride and LIGF pencil for each student on the day of their trip to the first 25 schools that make their reservations and submit their payment in full by April 15, 2011. Schools that are classified as Title I will receive a special discount of $6.00 per child. (Proof of Title I certification must be provided.) This discount will make the Game Farm accessible to the students as school districts may face drastic cuts in education under New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo's proposed budget. Since 1970, Long Island Game Farm has offered a unique educational and entertaining experience for the children. "As we celebrate our 42nd anniversary, we are pleased to offer this discount to the local schools," said Melinda Novak, Co-Founder and Co-Owner, Long Island Game Farm. "This discount will definitely enable these children to have a wonderful, educational experience at our Game Farm, even in these difficult economic times." For the children, there are carnival-style rides such as the Spinning Teacups, Rio Grande Mini Train and the Antique Carousel. In addition, children can watch shows and animal activities that are offered every day. Tickets are $8.95 per child for groups of 15 or more. There is also a new group package of $13.00 which includes admission for one child 11 years of age and under, one carousel ride and one package of animal food per child. Prices do not include tax.
