BUZZELL, BLANDA & VISCONTI, LLP ANNOUNCE FORMATION OF LAW PRACTICE

MELVILLE, NY - Buzzell, Blanda & Visconti, LLP announced the opening of its law firm in Melville. The limited liability is formed by its partners Joseph F. Buzzell, Nicole Blanda and Tara Visconti, who previously worked for Rivkin Radler at its Real Estate, Zoning and Land Use practice group. Buzzell, Blanda & Visconti is a full-service law firm concentrating in real estate law, with issues pertaining to land use and zoning. The firm serves developers in areas of zoning and land use, including matters involving shopping centers, retail stores, restaurants, communication facilities, senior housing, condominiums, apartments, residential subdivisions, office parks, golf courses and other residential, commercial and industrial projects. Mr. Buzzell, who oversaw Rivkin Radler's Real Estate, Zoning and Land Use practice group, once served as Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Babylon, where he represented the town in civil actions and contractual matters. Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, he worked at Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP, where he began as an associate, then became a partner and manager of its Suffolk County office. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Fordham College and his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Blanda began her career at Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, P.C. as an associate, representing purchasers and sellers in real estate transactions. In 2003, she joined Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Carlino & Cohn, where she represented commercial and residential developers throughout Long Island and has litigated Article 78 proceedings, declaratory judgment actions and other civil actions before courts in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. She is a graduate of New York University and Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Visconti started her career as Assistant Town Attorney for the town of Islip. She has also worked as in-house counsel for DeGiamo Monti Partners, managing all aspects of land use and zoning matters. She also served as an associate with Hammill, O'Brien, Croutier, Dempsey & Pender, P.C. and The Law Offices of Kenneth J. Weinstein, Esq. Ms. Visconti received her bachelor's degree from State University of New York at Potsdam and her law degree from the City University of New York School of Law. Ms. Visconti is active in the Kiwanis Club, having recently been elected as Vice President for the 2010-2011 year. "We are very pleased to form this new law firm," Mr. Buzzell said.
