Seeking Host Families for Bridge of Hope Summer 2011 Every summer a group of school-aged children land at JFK airport from international locales to spend three weeks experiencing a typical American summer camp vacation. Thanks to the efforts of Bridge of Hope, a non-profit group, and local host families, children from China, Russia and Ukraine will be given respite from life in an orphanage and get to enjoy summer camp and living in a real family environment this summer. Seminars are being held in February and March to identify host families for Bridge of Hope 2011. Information sessions are free, but RSVP is requested. Hosting applications are due March 15th. Seminar dates are 2/27 at East Northport Library and 3/4 at Half Hollow Hills Library in Dix Hills. Email Deb Servinskas at host2adopt2live.com for times and directions.
