Suffolk Police Bust Shirley Massage Parlor, Charge Queens Woman With Unauthorized Practice

Suffolk Police arrested a Queens woman during a raid of a Shirley massage parlor, which was later deemed unsafe and cited for violations.

Suffolk County Police today arrested a woman for performing unlicensed massages during a massage parlor raid in Shirley yesterday.
 
Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit officers, assisted by the Suffolk County Police Community Support Unit officers, Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal & Brookhaven Town Building Division, conducted an investigation at the Lavender Bodywork, located at 24 Grand Ave. at approximately 3:30 p.m.
 
Hang Zhang, 54, of Queens, was charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession. The Brookhaven Fire Marshal and Brookhaven Building Division issued violations for fire code and building offenses and deemed the establishment unsafe.
 
Zhang was given a Desk Appearance Ticket, and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
