Central Veterinary Associates to Receive "Friend of the Environment" Award

VALLEY STREAM, NY - Central Veterinary Associates has announced that it will receive the Alley Pond Environmental Center's (APEC) 2011 Friend of the Environment Award. Representatives from Central Veterinary Associates will accept the award at APEC's Earth Day reception on April 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. The Friend of the Environment Award is given to those organizations which support APEC and its environmental causes and make a positive impression on the community it serves. Central Veterinary Associates has provided for the care of APEC's animals for the past 15 years free of charge. Last year, Central Veterinary Associates performed a low-cost microchip clinic at APEC's "Pets & Pals Party" and was part of a judging panel at the "A Salute to NYC Biodiversity" photography contest during the Saving Urban Biodiversity Conference.
