Federal agents threatened to arrest a volunteer with Islip Forward who confronted them about using a Long Island firehouse for their operations, officials said Wednesday.

The man was recording the ICE agents camped out at the Central Islip Fire Department Station 2 at 110 Wheeler Rd. at around 9:30 a.m. Friday, when one of the agents accused him of trespassing, according to a video of the encounter.

“This is public property we pay for. ICE is right back here,” the volunteer with the ICE watchdog group said.

“You are trespassing,” someone over a megaphone told the firefighter. “Please step off the premises, or we will arrest you.”

After the incident, the Central Islip firefighters quickly closed the gate to the area being used by the federal agents, officials said.
