Suffolk County Police today arrested a store employee for unauthorized practice of a profession and prostitution during a massage parlor raid in Huntington.
In response to community complaints, Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Investigative Unit officers, in conjunction with the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Ordinance Inspector’s office, conducted an investigation into New Foot Spa, located at 198 New York Ave., and arrested an employee.
Dan Xu, 52, of Flushing, was charged with two counts of Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, an E felony, and two counts of Prostitution, a misdemeanor.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement Inspectors issued several violations to the business and is conducting a further investigation. Xu was issued a Desk Appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
