Ever dreamed of hitting the open road in a giant peanut? 🥜 The iconic snack brand Planters is once again on the hunt for new drivers to take the wheel of its famous Nutmobile — and applicants from Long Island and across the country are encouraged to apply.
Each year, Planters selects a small team of brand ambassadors, officially known as Peanutters, to travel the U.S. in the 26-foot-long Nutmobile, spreading smiles, snacks, and plenty of photo ops along the way. The role blends road-trip adventure with marketing, event appearances, and social media storytelling — all while representing Mr. Peanut himself.

According to the company, selected drivers will spend about a year traveling coast to coast, appearing at community events, festivals, and promotional stops. Along the way, Peanutters interact with fans, hand out Planters products, and document their journey on social platforms.
The position is paid and includes a salary, benefits, paid travel, and lodging. While prior commercial driving experience isn’t required, applicants should be confident behind the wheel, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are musts.
For Long Islanders with a flair for fun, marketing, or content creation — or anyone simply looking for a once-in-a-lifetime gig — the Nutmobile job offers a unique way to see the country while working for one of America’s most recognizable snack brands.
Applications are open now, and competition is known to be stiff. For those selected, it’s not just a job — it’s a year-long adventure on wheels, peanut puns included.
