This Friday and the weekend is looking busy on Long Island! There’s Monster Jam happening at Nassau Coliseum and everyone is gearing up for Super Bowl Sunday! Long Island is also packed with theater performances to enjoy. Check out all the hot spots for it here!

FRIDAY – JANUARY 31, 2014

Who: Monster Jam At Nassau Coliseum

Info: Bring out the entire family to enjoy a show of Monster Jam with big trucks racing it out and performing amazing stunts. The show continues at Nassau Coliseum through Feb. 2nd.

Who: ”Buddy’s Gift” At The Suffolk Theater
Info: It’s a story of laughs, love, and loss and the afterlife. The one man show stars Jack Simmons and tells of afterlife experiences of his late father Buddy who contacts his family from the great beyond.

Who: The Fray At The Paramount
Info: This Denver-based group produces melodic pop-rock songs and offers soaring vocals to songs offering tales of hopelessness and heartache.

Who: “An Inspector Calls” At Town of Islip Theater
Info: Synergy Ensemble Theatre Company presents “An Inspector Calls” by J.B. Priestley. It’s a classic British drawing-room mystery… with a twist!

Who: “Bye Bye Birdie” At Cultural Arts Playhouse
Info: Enjoy this rock and roll musical by Michael Stewart, Lee Adams and Charles Strouse. The musical is set in 1960 with teen idol Conrad Birdie being drafted into the army.

Info: Start your Super Bowl Sunday off right! The Truth Urban Theater Group will have poetry, drama and drums in their powerful performance that reflects on everyday human errors, poor judgement and the endless results of human flaws.

Who: “Inherit In The Wind” At BroadHollow’s BayWay Arts Center in East Islip
Info: This story takes place in Tenessee and is based on the 1925 “Monkey Trial.” John Scopes, a science teacher, is tried and convicted for teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution.
