Homicide Squad Detectives report the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 8:50 pm in Carle Place.
According to detectives, a male pedestrian, 69, was struck on Glen Cove Road at the intersection of Old Country Road by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, being operated by a 62-year-old male.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
