Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured two teenage boys last night in Brentwood.
Three males were inside a parked vehicle on Madison Avenue, near Hewes Street, when a second vehicle with at least three males inside pulled up in front of them at approximately 7 p.m. One of the males in the second vehicle exited the car and began shooting at the first vehicle striking a 15-year-old in the hand and a 17-year-old in the leg.
The first vehicle accelerated in reverse and fled the scene. The second vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction. The first vehicle drove approximately two miles to a Bay Shore street, and police were called shortly after.
The two injured teens were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
