Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that seriously injured a man last night in North Babylon.
 
Andrew Mruczek was driving a 2025 Toyota Camry northbound on Deer Park Avenue when the vehicle veered off the roadway at Parkdale Drive and struck a utility pole at approximately 9:40 p.m.
 
Mruczek, 48, of Norwalk, CT, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. The Toyota was impounded for a safety check.
