Join The Red, White and Blues Band, The Roadhouse Band and BigDaddy & The Bulldogs for a night of great blues music on Friday, February 11th, 2011 at Mirelles Restaurant located at 170 Post Avenue in Westbury. Doors will open at 7:30, the first band will go on at 8pm.

The evening will benefit the Lupus Alliance of America LIQ Affiliate, Long Island`s only lupus organization. A donation of $15 is required at the door, and includes a free Blues on the Bay T-shirt. The evening will include some great raffle prizes, a 50/50 and some of Long Island`s best blues music.

During the evening, Frank DeLape, board member and member of The Red, White and Blues band will debut a beautiful guitar donated by his band and autographed by Grammy Award winning musician and New York native, Cyndi Lauper. Ms. Lauper`s latest album, Memphis Blues, was listed on several 2010 best of blues lists, and also earned her 14th Grammy nomination.

This guitar will be raffled off by the Lupus Alliance of LIQ in order to raise funds for the many services they provide to those living with lupus in the local area; including educational seminars, financial assistance programs, children's groups, support, counseling and more.

Raffle tickets will go on sale on February 11th for $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00, and can be purchased through the Alliance website at www.lupusliqueens.org/cyndilauper, or by calling the office at 1-800-850-9000. "We are so grateful to Ms. Lauper for helping us raise money for those who are living with lupus here in our local area," said JoAnn Quinn, Executive Director of the LIQ Alliance. Mrs. Quinn added, "The funds raised from this fabulous guitar will help us reach out to those with lupus who need financial and emotional assistance dealing with the day to day aspects of living with this incurable disease, as well as allow us to continue to support novel research into the cause and hopefully someday, the cure."
