So if you haven't noticed, I haven't written a NEW article in quite some time. That is because I recently moved into a new apartment in Moriches and i've been getting settled in. Well now i'm settled and I have time to kill, so I thought i'd rumble your brains a bit. First of all let me say that I am really excited about the Nightlife section that LongIsland.com is doing - its WONDERFUL! I knew it would be great when it started, and I was right. Now on to other important matters. Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, and I'm getting ready to spend it alone (again) for the 21st year in a row. I don't know about you Long Island - but - I think that's rather DEPRESSING! However i've convinced myself over the years that Valentine's Day is nothing more than a cruel joke made up by card companies to gain money and laugh at the lonely, all in one shot. This year however a girlfriend of mine, whose also single, and myself will be going out to dinner. And if we feel like it a movie. Also, since we're on the subject, I wanted to hear some of your best/worst Valentine Day stories. E-mail them to me and I'll post them on the page for all to laugh with you about. Lord knows i've got some good ones. FInally i've recently come up with a sure-fire way to meet people. Since moving into my place i'e had 2 parties bringing people from my job as well as friends together. It turns out some of the most interesting people at my party (1 lad imparticular) I worked with and didn't even know it! So try having a get-together of people at your place (mine was like 10 people) and see if it works. We had a blast and we're all going to Vermont this weekend to ski - so it couldn't have been to bad. Remember, some of the best relationships come from friendships.
