This Friday and the weekend on Long Island is packed with entertainment for all! Go out for an adventure with nature at Connetquot River State Park Preserve. There’s also a play on the classic Shakespeare story of Romeo & Juliet, a comedy show with the Wild Women of Comedy and plenty of musical entertainment with talent like Us and Floyd, Banjo Rascals, Jay Z and others. Here are all the hot spots on Long Island!

FRIDAY – JANUARY 17, 2014

Who: Family Adventures – Whoo’s Out Tonight At Connetquot River State Park Presereve
Info: Enjoy an evening coming face to face with resident owls of the Connetquot River State Park Reserve. It’s also an opportunity to discover some of the mysteries that make them successful as nocturnal hunters. Reserve your spot!

Who: Live On The Vine Winterfest Kick Off At The Suffolk Theater
Info: Enjoy an evening of Long Island wines and hear some of the best jazz, blues and country music on Long Island! Musicians performing include Gene Gasey of the Lone Sharks, Bakithi Kumalo and Mambo Loco.

SATURDAY – JANUARY 18, 2014

Who: The Wild Women Of Comedy At Dix Hills Performing Arts Center
Info: It’s a showcase of female comedians. This has been a sell-out performance in the past. Don’t miss out on it this year! The show’s producers are Kit Steward, a seasoned comic, having performed at top-notch venues like Caroline’s, Gotham, Catch a Rising Star and The Improv for over two decades and Anne LiPuma who has been producing shows and cutting her comic chops on stages in the NYC area.

Who: The Elvis Show At Boulton Center for the Performing Arts
Info: This Elvis tribute and charity event features over 30 local musicians and vocalists. This year’s star-studded show will feature songs from the King’s movies, including the entire ‘King Creole’ soundtrack.

Who: Us And Floyd Tribute Band At Revolution Bar and Music Hall
Info:  Enjoy an amazing night of music. That 70’s Band will present classic 70’s dance music hits and the night will feature Us and Floyd, the Pink Floyd tribute band.
