Suffolk County Second Squad Detectives are investigating a motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash in Huntington Station this afternoon.
 
Thomas Longaro was operating a 2007 Suzuki eastbound on West Jericho Turnpike when the
motorcycle struck a 2024 Acura, also traveling eastbound, in front of 217 West Jericho Turnpike at 2:47 p.m.
 
Longaro, 39, of Central Islip, was transported to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Acura, Christopher Arebalo, 48, of Jackson Heights, Queens, was uninjured.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
