The New Year has kick-started more entertainment on Long Island! On Friday, start on your New Year’s resolution to a healthy you with a chair exercise class at Elmont Memorial Library. During the evening, enjoy a winter cabaret performance at St. Joseph’s College by Productions Over the Rainbow or a night of comedy at Governors Comedy at The Brokerage in Bellmore.  On Saturday, take part in the First Hike of the Year at Caleb Smith State Park. Two plays are also running on Saturday, including Alice in Wonderland at BayWay Arts Center and Doubt: A Parable at Merrick Theatre and Center for the Arts. On Sunday, head over to Freeport Memorial Library to enjoy the holiday songs of the season. Hauppauge Library is also hosting an event on how to make delicious hors d’oeuvres suitable for Super Bowl Sunday and there will also be samples. St. Boniface Lindenhurst is also hosting a cappella concert as a fundraiser. Check out the details below!

Who: Chair Exercise Class At Elmont Memorial Library
Info: The New Year means new resolutions. Get started on your health by joining in on this chair exercise class. It’s led by volunteer instructions Millie Danko, Millie Gorlick and Juang Thornhill. Coffee will also be served. The program is sponsored by the Federation of Organizations.

Who: Winter Cabaret “Broadway through the Decades” At St. Joseph’s College
