There Ain't No Cure for the Summer Time Blues.....

Written by lisingles  |  01. January 2000

Ok, its summertime and everything is hopping. The beaches are open, Adventureland and the county parks are full of people. Even the clubs seem a little more packed than usual. And yet with all of this, I've still yet to meet anyone interesting. However I'm about to tell you about one place that's loads of fun for the summer - Port Jefferson (aka Down Port). First there is Cafe Bada-Bing which, on thursday nights from 9pm-2am is $10 all you can drink (premium liquor included). That is good - especially since you need more money for gas now-a-days. Billy's is another good bar for mid to early 30's crowd. There are nightly drink specials and the atmosphere is fun! Then there is Tara's - located almost directly next to Cafe Bada-Bing. The bar and Kitchen are open till 3am, and the food is priced perfectly. Also there is a pinball machine and phooseball table - which can provide hours of enjoyment.
