I must add my 2 cents and say that the food here was incredible, really amazing flavor and the restaurant was truly decorated nicely, I'm eating here again soon. But what really sold me on Rose Hunt Restaurant was the really nice server we had.

The food at Rose Hunt is superb and the atmosphere is above average. The elegant décor and great staff usually make the entire dining experience wonderful. The prices are a bit more than I like to pay but the food is truly above average.

My family surprised me by bringing me here for my birthday. I was truly excited about the evening. The food was great and I enjoyed every bite. On the other hand, the server could have paid more attention. She got two of the orders wrong, which caused some of us to eat before everyone was served.

We came here with a group of friends. The atmosphere is charming but in my opinion the food was only average. The staff was nice and did a very good job of ensuring our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed.

We eat at Rose Hunt Restaurant on Italian Night because they serve some of the best Italian dishes around the area. If you are looking for upscale dining then Rose Hunt Restaurant is tops.

Very romantic and excellent dining experience. My husband brings me here for all special occasions or for our date night. We absolutely love it here. Highly recommend.

I like the food here and so does my wife. We eat here on Friday nights and then go see a movie. The food is always so good it’s just become apart of our night out on the town. This is the place for Seafood or Steak.

By fiancé brought me and proposed!!! Wonderful evening. He had told the staff and they were all prepared. I am glad I said yes. This will always be a wonderful evening I will remember. The food and service was excellent and the entire evening was very romantic.

I can see why this place is popular for Lobster Wednesday. Several of my friends recommended I come here so I did. Guess what? They were right I had the surf & turf and it was really good. The Filet Mignon was great and so was the Lobster Tail. With the sides that came with the meal I was stuffed.

I brought my wife here for our 5th wedding anniversary. The entire experience was amazing. The romantic atmosphere and excellent cuisine was perfect. I have to give the entire staff a huge thumbs up.

Rose Hunt is arguably the best LI has to offer, and as a LI resident, I can tell you that is saying a lot. Long Island does fine dining very well, but Rose Hunt really makes most of the other restaurants I've eaten at pale by comparison. It's something in the ambiance of the place ... or maybe it's the live music ... or perhaps it's the subtle nuances of flavor in their cooking. If you are going to be visiting Long Island, I highly suggest staying at the inn here, and going to the restaurant while you're at the hotel. If you live here, well then, what are you waiting for? Stop on by. You don't need to be staying at the inn to enjoy the fine dining and royal treatment you'll receive at Rose Hunt Lounge.

I was staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow, and Rose Hunt is the name of their restaurant. When I think of "fine dining," and an image comes to my mind of elegantly set tables with tablecloths, delicious food, and attentive servers, Rose Hunt is exactly that. It's fine dining defined. They also have soft piano music in the lounge, and I'm told, from time to time, a jazz band. I didn't get to see the jazz band, but I did enjoy the piano while I was here.

Everything about this restaurant shouts style and sophistication - from the formal curtains on the windows to the soft music of the piano. My favorite night to come is on the Italian night - I think it is Wednesday, but double check on their website. They do this amazing saffron dish with lobster and other seafood. I can't tell you how amazing it is. And the prices here, while high, are completely reasonable when you consider the quality of the food, service, and the restaurant itself, which always offers a lovely experience.

This was actually the restaurant where I met my husband. I was here with my family one evening to celebrate my sister's graduation, and there was a man playing the piano who caught my eye - and my heart. We've been married for four years now, and we are here a lot, partly because he still works here, but mostly because we love Rose Hunt for all the memories we've made here. We've enjoyed many romantic dates at this restaurant where we met, and we've also been here with our friends and family members for many other special occasions since. There is almost always music here, whether the piano or sometimes, a jazz band. The atmosphere is very refined, and the food is to die for! This is one of the most beautiful establishments on the island - I am sure that if you come here, you will always remember it, and you'll want to come back time after time, just like we have.

I think Paul Lewin is confused ... he seems to be reviewing some other establishment entirely. Anyway ... I came here for the simple and rather silly reason that my name is Rose, and my husband kept bugging me about the restaurant named Rose Hunt. Am I glad he did or what. This restaurant is so lovely - I wish we could come here once a week! And if he gets that promotion at work, we just might do that. They have a jazz band here some nights, and on others, there's a man who plays the piano. Both are lovely, but we particularly enjoy the nights the jazz band plays. Come here for a romantic date, a quiet evening with visiting relatives, or for any special occasion. You'll love it, just like we do.

I visited the Rose Hunt Lounge today and it was great. The pianist was playing a nice melody that fit well with the feel of the room. The food is very good and the workers are all in good spirits. Will be visiting again!
